From Christmas classics to panto pandemonium, there's plenty of shows taking the stage this Christmas season that are certain to delight families.

Experience a sensory delight at the Old Vic, with Jack Thorne's adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, there's also a musical adaptation at the Rose Theatre with songs from Eamonn O’Dwyer and direction from Rosie Jones.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre will be showing an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Fir Tree, featuring hand-crafted environments and puppets and watch musical merry mayhem unravel on stage with the musical adaptation of the 2003 Will Ferrell film in Elf the Musical.

It's pantomime time!

Would Christmas be any fun without the joys of a panto show? Oh no it wouldn't! 

Potted Panto condenses a selection of seven fairytales into a 70-minute laugh-fest at the Apollo Theatre, Dawn French, Julian Clary and Alexandra Burke star in a top notch telling of Jack and the Beanstalk and Mother Goose is a brand-new reimaginging of the old pantomime thrill.

Wickies: The Vanishing Men of Eiliean Mor is a haunting true story with a supernatural twist at the Park Theatre, while Good stars David Tennant as John Halder in a powerful analysis of human morals at the Harold Pinter Theatre. 

For something festive, Who's Holiday is an adult comedy that stars drag superstar Miz Cracker as Cindy Lou Who, who drunkenly recaps the events of The Grinch in the HOME Theatre while Peter Pan's Labyrinth is a hodgepodge of Disney, Del Toro and David Bowie in a mature comedy at The Vaults London.
