• You can also watch them splash about from an underwater viewing area, which always makes for some great sights when you visit this penguin paradise.
• The lovable marsupials that are wallabies ended up in the UK wilds under bizarre circumstances in 1940, through being released from a private collection as a wartime measure!
• Here, you can give a fuss, feed some treats and bounce about with Bennetts wallabies, which is certain to have you leaving with a spring in your step!
• Another adorable animal you can walk about with in Peak Wildlife Park are the red squirrels
• Become a part of the project by going on a squirrel walk, as all money goes to the conservation and repopulation of red squirrels. Plus, they’re adorable, so you wouldn’t want to miss these little guys anyway!

You may be tired after all these animal walks, so why not wind down at a forgotten Namibian outpost and hang out with some meerkats? Watch them scurry about the sands while you brush the majestic hair of a pygmy goat, who will be happy to lie on their side while you give them a nice fuss!

It’s also worth keeping an eye out for some of the other animals on site, including zebras, otters, tortoises, giant rabbits, sheep, deer, warty pig, dik-diks and the Patagonian Mara, of which you can still get close to.
