What is the Great British Summer Savings scheme? (and why we love it!)
The UK Government has launched the Great British Summer Savings scheme for 2026, designed to help families enjoy more of what makes summer special, without the usual price tag worries.
Running from 25 June to 1 September 2026, the scheme temporarily reduces VAT from 20% to 5% on a wide range of family-friendly experiences.
That means lower prices on:
- Theme parks, zoos, museums and attractions, and more
- Cinema, theatre and entertainment tickets
- Children’s meals at restaurants
In short: more fun, more memories, and more value at the checkout.
Because ultimately, this is about helping families say “yes” to more days out this summer. And we’re all for that.
